A picture of the Wallpaper light installation

This installation was designed to show the transformation of a regular environment into an engaging space.

By creating a bespoke pattern wallpaper, a playful hybrid of interior decoration and lighting has emerged. The repeated pattern of upright and inverted chandeliers is peeled back from the wall and draped over a naked light source.

A variation of tone in the pattern creates a ghost-like subtlety as the prominent darker tones emerge face-up through the paper and become the lampshade.

Designed in collaboration with 3D designer Lisa Childs for a sponsored showcase at 100% Light as part of London Design Week 2006.
